As the weather gets warmer, we’ve all got our go-to cold treats—whether that’s McDonald’s Frozen Hawaiian Punch, the creamy Dairy Queen summer Blizzards, or of course, a Wendy’s Frosty. While the classic chocolate Frosty is the perfect follow-up to a Baconator, we definitely wouldn’t mind a beloved fresh fruit flavor—and Wendy’s has delivered!
The Strawberry Frosty Is Back!
Yep, we’ve got our favorite fruity Frosty back on the menu. Of course, it’s a Strawberry Frosty, making it perfect for summer. Wendy’s just announced the “berry” good news, and of course, we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
On the returning frosty, John Li, Vice President of Culinary Innovation for The Wendy’s Company says, “After the response we saw last year, we knew it was something that deserved to reclaim its place on this summer’s menu!”
The Frosty was one of the five items on the original Wendy’s menu, way back when Dave Thomas opened his first outlet in 1969. The treat, which has a consistency smack between a milkshake and soft serve, doesn’t usually see much innovation, but this isn’t the first time they’ve served up a strawberry flavor. Wendy’s offered a Strawberry Frosty for a limited time back in 2010, made by blending their vanilla Frosty with strawberry syrup. Then, the returning offering, which blends a special strawberry puree with the classic vanilla Frosty, debuted on Wendy’s menu last year. No one knew if or when it would return, but it’s now back for a second year in a row for Wendy’s fans to enjoy that fresh strawberry flavor!
Where Can I Get One?

You can already get the Strawberry Frosty nationwide. That’s right, the frosty is now available at Wendy’s stores everywhere! Customers can order their frosty through Wendy’s mobile app or in person. Keep in mind that it’s a limited-time item, so you should get to your local Wendy’s before it’s gone.
It’s also (temporarily) replacing the Vanilla Frosty once again, which will return once the Strawberry Frosty leaves the menu. Although, if you love the vanilla frosty, you can always make your own in the meantime.
When picking up the limited-time frosty, customers can also check out the new Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Ghost Pepper Fries to go with it! However, no matter what’s paired with a Strawberry Frosty, it’s bound to be a delicious entry into that summer feeling.
