Walmart and Postmates Team up for Grocery Delivery
Always on the run? Walmart is now working with Postmates to deliver grocery bags to your door!
News just broke that Walmart and courier company Postmates will be teaming up to expand the discount giant’s already popular grocery delivery service. The partnership is kicking off at Walmart stores in Charlotte, North Carolina, with plans to expand later in 2018. Whether you want to avoid the “Sunday scaries” at the grocery store, or want the convenience of having groceries delivered to you, this partnership is going to be a game changer!
Thinking about getting grocery delivery? Here are five reasons you totally should.
Here’s how the partnership with Walmart works:
- Head to Walmart.com or grab the Walmart Grocery app on iTunes
- Choose your produce and pantry staples, based on your super-smart grocery list
- Place your order
- Voila! A courier from the local Postmates fleet will pick up your order from a nearby Walmart and deliver it straight to your door
It’s no surprise that as our lives get crazier, places like Walmart are looking for ways to meet shoppers’ changing needs. We’re excited because we love when stores offer things like delivery, discounts and sweet perks for customers!
“Both Walmart and Postmates strive to make the lives of our customers easier,” said Dan Mosher, a Senior Vice President at Postmates. “With our growing fleet of 160,000 couriers, we are confident that we’ll be providing Walmart customers with the ultimate convenience.”
You can say that again, Dan! Walmart’s nicely-priced groceries can be delivered to your door on the same day, with only a $30 minimum order and $9.95 delivery fee. You can even get your first Walmart grocery order delivered free with promo code FRESHCAR. You’ll have to spring for a $50 order to get the deal, so grab the ingredients for a couple $10 family dinners.
Not in Charlotte? Don’t worry, you can still grocery shop like a boss.
