Turkey-Shaped Butter Is Here for Thanksgiving—and We’re Going to Gobble It Up

Everything is better with butter—especially when it’s turkey-shaped butter!
This salted butter is molded into a mini turkey sculpture, perfectly formed with individual feathers, a beak and even a gobbler. After the “oohs” and “aahs,” friends and family can get their knives ready and slather the butter on warm-and-toasty dinner rolls or mashed potatoes.
Where to Find the Turkey-Shaped Butter
To serve, you’ll want to set the butter sculpture on a decorative dish. Don’t forget to take it out of the fridge before guests arrive. For optimal enjoyment and spreadability, butter needs to come to room temperature before spreading on fresh-baked bread. And don’t worry—it’s safe to leave butter on the counter.
No surprise, this turkey-shaped butter is a seasonal treat, and it tends to go pretty fast. Snatch ’em up while you can because they aren’t going to linger after Thanksgiving. (We mean—just look how beautiful this butter is!)

The buttery birds are 4 ounces each, and retail for $3.49 at Target, which seems to be the only retailer that does butter delivery this year. If your Target isn’t stocked, you can always use the Keller’s Creamery site to find these feathery masterpieces in a store near you. Sure, butter sculpted into fun shapes might seem like a modern novelty—or an activity reserved for county fair competitions—but butter animals have a storied past. In fact, Easter butter lambs are a Polish tradition that’s also found in the US.
Keller’s Creamery is also going to release butter shaped like a Christmas tree in time for all of your holiday meals. You’ll want to mark your calendar because the Christmas tree butter sculpture will hit grocery stores in December!
