Target Just Made It Easier for Shoppers to Enjoy Starbucks

I’m not saying I look for reasons to visit Target… but I might look for reasons to visit Target. Between all of its adorable decor and ultimate home essentials, Target is truly my go-to store for so many things. And you know what the absolute best part about walking through those sliding doors is? The fact that I can pick up my favorite Starbucks Peppermint Mocha and enjoy it the whole time I’m shopping. Best day ever.

We love Target and Starbucks for so many reasons, but they always find a way to make us love them even more. These two powerhouses are teaming up to bring us drive-up coffee delivery, and we’re totally in love.

How Does Target Drive Up Work?

If you’re a Target shopping fiend (or a grocery pick-up lover), then you may already have an idea of how this will work. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

1. Start by using your Target app to create your order. Along with your regular Target pick-up order, you will also be able to place a Starbucks coffee order from a complete Starbucks menu. Make your selection as usual.
2. While you’re on the way to pick up your Target order, your favorite Starbucks baristas will be hard at work preparing your coffee order.
3. Once you’ve arrived at your designated Target location, you’ll pull into a Drive Up spot and alert the Target employees you’ve arrived through the app.
4. The Target employee will bring out your Starbucks coffee order along with your Target Drive Up order.

Yes, it’s an absolutely genius idea. Grocery shopping online continues to evolve and help us stay sane in our busy, busy lives.

Where Is It Available?

Right now, 240 Target locations in California, Minnesota, Delaware, New Jersey, Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia have this service available. While we wish all 1,700 locations offered Drive Up delivery, the rest of us will have to patiently wait for our turns. Target began working on this feature back in 2021 and has continued to polish the service through guest feedback. Drive Up coffee, here we come!
