Just in time for Valentine's Day, Target gave us another reason to celebrate.
To help us celebrate the sweetest, pinkest, most heart-shaped holiday, Target has revived a favorite product that’s sure to keep your sweet tooth happy: Yes Way Rosé cupcakes!
What Is a Rosé Cupcake?
Made from a vanilla cake base and filled with peach-flavored frosting, they’re soulmates with that bottle of rosé sitting in your wine rack. The packaging describes them as “inspired by flavors of strawberry, peach and citrus,” which’ll definitely give your holiday (or wine-tasting, or any day, really) a hint of springtime sweetness.
You can pick up a four-pack of regular-size ‘cakes for $3.99. Or, for those craving a heftier delicacy, a “jumbo” 6-ounce cupcake is yours for $2.99.
If you’re feeling fantastically floral and fruity, try pairing them with a Swedish Rosé Spritz. On the other hand, if you’re not familiar with the drink these desserts spotlight, don’t fret. Check out our must-know facts about rosé.
Why Does This Brand Sound Familiar?
You’ve probably seen the label “Yes Way Rosé” before. It’s a popular lifestyle brand devoted to the creation and celebration of our favorite pink drink, and if it’s also your favorite pink drink, there’s a chance you’re already a fan. Target’s been carrying its wine since 2018, and last year it rewarded rosé-drinkers by adding to the line with these seasonal cupcakes as well as rose (not rosé!) bouquets. (Here’s another bouquet you should check out for V-Day.)
Wait, These Are Seasonal?!
OK, we have good news and not-so-good news. Like all great things, these cupcakes will probably come to an end. They were a limited-run product in 2019, and while there’s no official word on whether they’ll be sticking around in 2020, it’s a good bet that they won’t be a permanent fixture like Target’s Yes Way Rosé wines.
The good news is that their current presence provides the perfect reason to pick up some stuff on your shopping list; we recommend these food and home items. But if you’re anything like us, you don’t really need an excuse to head to Target—or should we say Targét?
