If it hails from Taco Bell, you know my name’s written all over it. But not everything that glitters can stay gold forever. Over the past few years, fans have been on a rollercoaster of emotions. Since Taco Bell did a menu purge back in 2020, we lost a lot of good soldiers. The Nachos Supreme, Grilled Steak Soft Taco and Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes were just a few of the 14 eliminated items. The Mexican Pizza was a victim too, but luckily it found its way back.
Now the Taco Bell Enchirito is finally making its official comeback to the menu, and we’re over the moon with anticipation.
What’s in the Taco Bell Enchirito?
The Taco Bell Enchirito consists of a soft tortilla rolled up with Taco Bell’s signature seasoned beef, diced onions and beans, and promptly smothered with red sauce and melted cheddar cheese. This item was actually introduced 52 years ago back in 1970—just 8 years after the chain had opened.
It was originally discontinued back in 1993, but hardcore fans continued to order it—kind of like a primitive secret menu item. The item continued to be so popular that Taco Bell brought it back in 2000. But yet again, it was removed from the menu in 2013.
But cut to this year—Taco Bell ran a poll from September 27 to October 6 asking fans what item should make a return: the Enchirito or the Double Decker Taco. Winning with 62% of the vote, the Enchirito took the victory, and we couldn’t be more pleased!
Here are all the discontinued fast food items we miss the most.

When Can I Get It?
You’ll be able to order the Enchirito at participating locations nationwide from November 17 to November 30. While we’re sad it’s not a permanent comeback like the Mexican Pizza, we’re not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. We’re just glad they’re back.
