Need to pick something up on Turkey Day? These are the stores that will be open on Thanksgiving this year.

For some, Thanksgiving day is not only a celebration with our favorite Thanksgiving recipes and cherishing time with loved ones. It can also mark the day people commence Black Friday shopping.

It’s the controversy that takes place every year—should stores be open on the national holiday? While some are eager to start their shopping and access some amazing Black Friday deals ASAP, others enjoy sticking to their classic Thanksgiving traditions.

Nonetheless, grocery stores that remain open can be helpful for cooks who forget or run out of one or multiple ingredients. Some guests may also need to pick up a last-minute dish or dessert. No matter the reason, grocery stores that are open on Thanksgiving can help make or break some holiday meals. Bonus: If you don’t know where to start or are worried you’ll forget a side dish on your Thanksgiving menu, our Thanksgiving shopping list may do the trick.
