Just because Starbucks will replace plastic straws with sippy cups doesn’t mean that straws are totally out for good. In fact, Starbucks has through of a clever (and delicious) way that you can sip on your Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) this upcoming fall: cookie straws!
That’s right, Starbucks isn’t messing around this upcoming PSL season. Starting in August (yes, that early), Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice products will be hitting grocery stores around the nation. This year the franchise celebrates 15 years of the coveted PSL, and will be celebrating with two new products: Pumpkin Spice Cookie Straws and Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee K-Cup Pods.
What are cookie straws?
Not only are the straws that you can eat, but they are made with a delectable wafer cookie wrapped up with a white chocolaty inside layer. The wafer is also made with white chocolate and pumpkin spices.
Curious if the cookie will immediately melt away in your drink? Starbucks is already one step ahead of you. That white chocolaty layer will actually help the straw maintain a structure while you sip on your drink, leaving you with a cookie to chow down on after enjoying that PSL!
You can even dress them up in your own kitchen. Here’s one chocolaty idea.
How much are they?
The retail price for cookie straws are listed at $6.99, and each pack comes with 20 cookie straws. You can find them at select retailers around the country, and you can even order them on Amazon!
What are the other Starbucks Pumpkin Spice products?
Not a huge fan of cookies—or straws? You can still enjoy the PSL season with six other Starbucks Pumpkin Spice products this fall! Along with the aforementioned Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee K-Cup Pods, you can also buy a Pumpkin Spice Latte or Iced Espresso Classics Pumpkin Spice Latte for a cold drink on the go at stores. Plus, all these amazing products are available to stock in your pantry: Pumpkin Spice Flavored Ground Coffee, Pumpkin Spice Caffe Latte K-Cup Pods and a VIA Instant Pumpkin Spice Latte 5-pack.
Although there has been much speculation of the official PSL release date, Starbucks still has yet to officially announce when they will start serving up our favorite fall beverage.
