This recall affects three kinds of Skippy peanut butter.

In most houses, peanut butter is a must-have for PB&J sandwiches, slathering on celery and so much more. There’s a reason we did a taste test to find the best peanut butter. It’s a pantry staple!

Unfortunately, it might be time to check the peanut butter in your pantry. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just announced that Skippy issued a voluntary recall for 9,353 cases of peanut butter.

Why Was the Recall Issued?

According to the company, a limited number of jars are at risk for containing a small piece of stainless steel from manufacturing equipment. There have been no consumer complaints so far and all retailers who received the affected product have been informed. However, in the interest of safety, Skippy decided to issue the recall.
