4 Secret Menu Starbucks Hot Drinks That Are Perfect for Winter

Updated: Nov. 02, 2023

Time to get cozy!

‘Tis the season…to indulge in all sorts of hot, delicious drinks to keep that winter chill away. While we love all the Frappuccinos on the Starbucks secret menu and the peppermint and eggnog cold brews on the Starbucks winter secret menu, sometimes you need a drink that’ll keep you warm through biting winds and shorter days.

Starbucks hot drinks may not be exactly what the doctor ordered for flu season…but they’re pretty darn close!

Hot Butterbeer Latte

Who needs a Warming Charm when you’ve got hot Butterbeer? Transport yourself to a Hogsmeade winter with this simple recipe—all you need to do is ask for a whole milk steamer, add caramel syrup, toffee nut syrup and cinnamon dolce syrup (for all syrups, add 2 shots for tall, 3 for grande and 4 for venti). Finish off with whipped cream and salted caramel bits on top, and a couple shots of espresso if you want a kick.

Pair it with one of these delicious Harry Potter-inspired recipes.

S’Mores Hot Chocolate

Nothing says winter warmth like s’mores! This hot chocolate is the easiest thing ever—just ask for a Hot Chocolate, add chestnut praline syrup (3 pumps for tall, 4 for grande and 5 for venti) and top with whipped cream and mocha drizzle for some fireside goodness!

Hot Apple Cider

You can get a taste of fall any time of the year with this one. Just ask for a steamed apple juice and add chai concentrate for a kick. If you want to jazz it up a little bit, start with a Caramel Apple Spice instead.

Cookie Butter Latte

If you never bought into the cookie butter craze, now’s a good time to start. For this one, start with a Chai Latte with Oat Milk, add 3 pumps of brown sugar syrup, 2 pumps of chai and one shot of blonde espresso.

Can’t get enough of Starbucks’ hot drinks? Some of the official holiday menu items can be made hot, too!
