Reese’s JUST Released a Brand-New Peanut Butter Cup—and It Has No Chocolate

It's one small step for Reese's, one giant leap for peanut butter lovers!

Of all the classic flavor combos, chocolate and peanut butter takes the top spot—hands down. In fact, we love it so much, we did a taste test to find the best peanut butter cup (you’ll never guess who won). But despite all the peanut butter cups on the market, we always find ourselves going back to the original: Reese’s, of course!

Over the years, they’ve introduced tons of variants to their classic combo: white creme Reese’s, potato chip-stuffed Big Cups and even peanut butter and chocolate snack cakes! Last year, their parent company Reese’s rereleased their Peanut Butter Lovers Cups—and now they’re taking things one step further.

It’s All Peanut Butter, All the Time

Yep, the new Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cup has the signature peanut butter filling, but it replaces the chocolate coating with a peanut butter candy-flavored shell. It’s still the same delicious combination of sweet and salty, just with double the peanut butter flavor!

Reese’s knows this sounds crazy. “While launching a Reese’s Cup with absolutely no chocolate might come as a shock, we’re giving the truest peanut butter fans something to go wild about,” says Margo McIlvaine, Reese’s Brand Manager. She knows that changing an icon like Reese’s is serious business, but it’s worth the risk for more peanut butter flavor. We can’t help but agree!

This isn’t even the wildest thing Reese’s has done—they also launched the biggest Reese’s peanut butter cup ever in 2021.

When Can I Get Some Peanut Butter Goodness?

The Ultimate Peanut Butter Lovers Cup will be available in April 2021 at convenience stores nationwide, in standard, king size and miniatures. It’s a limited time product, though, so make sure you stock up!
