I never would have guessed this answer!
Rachel McAdams Reveals the One Food She Could Eat Every Day
Rachel McAdams just received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and I can’t think of a more deserving person to receive that award. You might even say it’s About Time … you know, like the 2013 romantic comedy she starred in alongside Domhnall Gleeson.
The Canadian actor has been in so many iconic movies over the past 20 years, it’s hard to keep count. From Mean Girls and The Notebook to Game Night and Spotlight, she’s proved her acting chops are top-tier. And her most recent movie, Send Help, just landed in theaters. Part black comedy, part survival thriller, it’s a totally different role for her.
While doing press interviews for Send Help, she revealed the one food she could eat every day. It’s definitely the most unique answer I’ve heard anyone give!
What is Rachel McAdams’s favorite food?
In Send Help, two coworkers survive a plane crash and wash ashore on a desert island. Rachel plays Linda Liddle, and Dylan O’Brien plays her boss, Bradley Preston. Linda is a huge fan of the reality TV show Survivor, which gives her an enormous advantage. I just saw the movie in theaters, and it’s very intense and incredibly entertaining.
In a clip from an interview with The Infatuation, the two Send Help actors are asked what their “desert island dish” would be—aka what food could they eat every single day for the rest of their life. Dylan says his mom’s chicken cutlets, and Rachel says oysters!
“I could just eat oysters all the livelong day,” she says. “Easy on the environment, you’re still getting protein … so many different flavor profiles. It’s like wine.”
As someone who only recently discovered the deliciousness of oysters, I think that Rachel’s answer is great. Whether you like oysters Rockefeller or simply raw oysters on the half shell, it is a delightful seafood delicacy. And I imagine oysters are pretty easy to come by if you’re actually stranded on an island. Easier at least than, say, chicken cutlets? No shade to Dylan, of course. Both options are tasty!
