Pop-Tarts Just Snuck a Brand-New Flavor into Stores

Pop-Tarts have been enticing us with toaster pastries since 1964. The brand has stayed true to three of its original flavors over the years: blueberry, brown sugar cinnamon and strawberry Pop-Tarts. That’s not to say new flavors never appear on the scene. One of the reasons we love Pop-Tarts so much is all of its tasty toaster innovations!

Pop-Tarts quietly launched a brand-new flavor for the 2024 holiday season, and I expect this one to become a staple in the years to come.

What is the new Pop-Tarts flavor?

The brand-new flavor is called Frosted Marshmallow Hot Cocoa. It consists of a cacao dough pastry with a creamy, gooey marshmallow filling and bright white frosting on top, like a blanket of fresh snow. While this Pop-Tart isn’t topped with sprinkles, it does have a unique trait that sets it apart from its Pop-Tart brethren. Each pastry has a special seasonal print to really get you in the mood for the holidays.

If you’re a fan of the Frosted S’Mores Pop-Tarts, you’re likely going to enjoy this one, too. The chocolate flavor coming from the dough instead of the filling is a nice change of pace, and it’s a subtle flavor that enriches the experience. You bet I’ll dip my Frosted Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Pop-Tarts in some hot chocolate this winter.

When do Frosted Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Pop-Tarts drop?

The new Pop-Tarts are available right now! The flavor snuck into all stores that sell Pop-Tarts and appeared on the shelf seemingly overnight. Each 8-count box is $3.89 and well worth the price (in my snack expert opinion).

This flavor is the perfect pick-up for all cozy winter snackers! Grab ’em when you see ’em, though, because it’s seasonal and will only be around during the cold-weather months.
