If there’s one iconic menu item at Wendy’s, it’s the Frosty. The Wendy’s Frosty has been winning over customers since its inception in 1969 and the brand has since experimented with expanding its flavor selection beyond the classic chocolate.
In 2006, Wendy’s introduced the Vanilla Frosty. Other recent Frosty flavors include Caramel Apple—which according to Brand Eating, was only available in Canada for fall 2022—and the Strawberry Frosty, a limited-time flavor introduced for summer 2022.
You may have enjoyed a strawberry Frosty or two since its launch, but it looks like Wendy’s Peppermint Frosty will replace it soon. So whether you’re a Frosty and fries person, use a spoon, or sip your Frosty, you’ll want to know about the new holiday Frosty before it hits the menu.
All About the New Wendy’s Peppermint Frosty
Wendy’s will be releasing its brand-new Peppermint Frosty for a limited time nationwide starting on Nov. 15.
“The Peppermint Frosty is our latest flavor innovation on the iconic Wendy’s Frosty that fans have come to know and love for over 50 years,” said John Li, Vice President of Culinary Innovation, in a press release. “It’s the classic thick and creamy Frosty that our fans crave with bursts of fresh peppermint—every sweet bite will put you in the holiday spirit.”
What About the Vanilla Frosty?
The new peppermint Frosty will be served alongside the classic Chocolate Frosty, which means the Vanilla Frosty won’t be around this holiday season. Although it’s unclear what date fans can expect the Vanilla darling to come back, hopefully, we see it come back within the first few months of the new year.
What Else Does Wendy’s Have in Store for the Holidays?
In addition to the new Peppermint Frosty, Wendy’s is bringing back Frosty Key Tags for the holidays beginning Nov. 21 through Jan. 29, 2023. For $2, customers can purchase a Frosty Key Tag that will allow customers to get a free Jr. Frosty with purchase all year round. And, you’ll feel good purchasing a key tag as all proceeds go to supporting the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
