Summer isn’t over yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate fall a little early. Starbucks has already kicked off the season with the release of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and plenty of other brands are jumping on board. Pillsbury is rolling out pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls and DQ is bringing back the pumpkin pie Blizzard. While all these seasonal treats are definitely on our list, we’re almost more excited about this news.
Peet’s Coffee, known for their delectable harvest-inspired brews, has just announced their fall lineup, from sweet lattes to at-home cups that fill your kitchen with all the flavors of autumn.
Psst: America’s best city for coffee is the home of Peet’s. (And it’s not Seattle.)
Peet’s Coffee Has a New Flavor for Fall
What sets this menu apart from the ho-hum of the average fall lineup is the new Honey Harvest Latte. There’s so much to love about a warm cup of rich espresso paired with honey-sweetened steamed milk. It’s more subtle than the overwhelming sweetness of your go-to lattes, but you can’t miss the smokiness in each sip, courtesy of house-made Lapsang Souchong syrup (which is a syrup made from tea leaves that are smoke-dried over pinewood). The latte seriously screams fall, and we can’t imagine a better start to the season than cozying up under a blanket with one of these guys in hand.
Honey is only one unexpected thing to add to your coffee. Here’s everything else to stir in.
Like most major coffee chains, Peet’s Coffee will also be featuring a variation of the pumpkin spice latte this year. It’s the perfect blend of espresso, frothed milk and pumpkin flavoring dusted with decadent pumpkin pie spices. If coffee isn’t your thing but pumpkin is, Peet’s Coffee is also serving up a smooth Pumpkin Chai Latte, made from spicy masala chai and, of course, pumpkin pie flavoring.
The Best At-Home Seasonal Brew
Peet’s Coffee is also launching the 2019 Vine & Walnut Blend. It’s a little more unconventional than your average fall brews, bringing together the tartness of cherry, the sweetness of brown sugar and the tropical tang of pineapple. According to Roastmaster Doug Welsh, Vine & Walnut is an “utterly unique blend of rare single-origins that together burst with the taste of a fall harvest.” If you’re a real coffee connoisseur, you’ll want to get your hands on this ASAP. See how Peet’s fared in our coffee brands taste test.
When and Where to Grab a Cup
Peet’s Coffee locations may be a little more elusive than Starbucks. They’re located in some parts of California, Colorado, Illinois and dotted all along the East Coast. If you happen to stumble into one this fall, make sure you stop by for a latte from this legendary lineup. These cozy cuppas will be hitting Peet’s Coffee menus on September 4, and they’ll only be around until November 5, so you’ll have to move fast.
As for the Vine & Walnut Blend, you can snag a bag online or in-store right now. The unique blend will only be available through October 31—that’s Halloween—before it’s gone for good. You can enjoy Vine & Walnut all season for just $19.99, which is really a deal for all the flavors you find in one bag.
