From "bougie tots" to over-the-top desserts, here’s an inside look at the Oscars after-party menu.

Here’s Exactly What A-List Celebs Will Eat at the Oscars After-Party

Stars, they’re just like us! Meaning that, after a work event, they’re ready to chow down on some late-night snacks. Except the “work event” is the Academy Awards, and the “snacks” served at the after-party will be very fancy.
For 31 years, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck has catered the Governors Ball, the official after-party for the Oscars. It’s an exclusive shindig for a roster of A-listers, and apparently, they bring quite the appetite. The menu has over 70 kinds of canapés, Puck told Good Morning America.
What’s on the menu for the after-party?
Of all the snacks on the menu, one classic makes an appearance every year: smoked salmon Oscar statuettes. These adorable appetizers are made by cutting smoked salmon into the shape of an Oscar, layering it on a matzo cracker, and topping it with caviar.
Aside from the edible Oscars, there are a lot of familiar dishes on the menu, like cheddar mac and cheese and chicken pot pies. And, of course, there are fun and creative spins on existing dishes, like the “Bougie Tots,” which are tater tots smothered with caviar. Take a look at some of the menu highlights:

And that’s just a few of the savory options. There are also plenty of desserts for any celebrity with a sweet tooth. Yes, there will be eclairs shaped like a statuette!

What can I recreate for my Oscars party?
I think the best part of awards season is that it’s peak snacking season. Hosting friends or family to watch the Oscars is incomplete without a nice assortment of appetizers and desserts to nosh on while you see who takes home a major award.
