2-Ingredient Oreo Sushi Is the Only Way We’re Eating Oreos from Now On

Updated: May 09, 2022

TikTok creators can't stop making Oreo sushi rolls!

You’d think there’s really only one way to enjoy an Oreo—with a cookie in one hand and a glass of milk in the other. While the company did confirm that the right way to eat an Oreo is the classic twist-lick-dunk method, the best Oreo-eating technique is subject to personal preference.

Still, we never would have guessed people routinely eat Oreos like a maki roll. We’re not mad about it, though—this recipe for Oreo sushi is a fun reinvention of a classic snack, and it looks delicious!

How to Make Oreo Sushi

This recipe shared by TikTok user @siennas.sweets only calls for two ingredients: Oreos and some form of milk. Once those things are handy, follow the instructions below for a trendy way to snack.

Step 1: Separate the Oreos

You won’t be dunking the cookies in milk, but you will need to twist your Oreos apart. Once separated, use a fork or knife to scrape the cream filling into a bowl, and set the cookie pieces aside in a zip-top bag.

Step 2: Make the base of your roll

After pressing out as much air as possible, tightly seal your zip-top bag. Use a rolling pin to gently crush the cookie pieces until they form fine crumbs. Transfer back into a bowl, add the milk of your choice a tablespoon at a time and combine until a thick paste forms. It should be dough-like and not runny.

Step 3: Roll and snack!

Set a large piece of plastic wrap on your countertop. Spread the chocolate cookie paste on top in an even layer, before topping with an even layer of the cream filling.

Use the bottom layer of plastic wrap to smoothly guide your ingredients into a tight roll. To serve, cut the roll into bite-size pieces, and serve with frosting, whipped cream or chocolate sauce.
