If you’ve ever been on a road trip, you’ve probably binged a package of Twizzlers from the gas station. The licorice-inspired twists that first made their debut in 1845 are still just as popular today. Since the early days, we’ve seen all sorts of flavors and variations, and while we love the classic red twist, there’s one flavor in particular that we hold near and dear to our hearts.
The Twizzlers flavor that got away is back, and we’re more than a little excited. Will you give Orange Creamsicle Twizzlers a try?
Where Did They Go?
Anyone with a knack for remembering details will recognize this flavor from 2017. Orange Creamsicle Twizzlers were part of Hershey’s Flavors of America campaign, which produced special treats to represent the best desserts across the nation. The promotion included snacks like New York Cherry Cheesecake Hershey’s, Coconut Almond Kisses and, of course, Florida Orange Creamsicle Twizzlers.
The First Orange Creamsicle Sighting
What makes these citrusy sweets so special is that you’re not biting into a hollowed-out candy. The orange twists are filled with cream that packs a sweet punch you won’t find in your average Twizzlers.
This flavor was first spotted by Instagram user CandyHunting, who uploaded an image of the candy already on store shelves. Each package contains 11 oz. worth of our favorite reappearing snack.
Where to Get Yours
According to CandyHunting, Orange Creamsicle Twizzlers are already at Walmart and probably some other major retailers, like Target and Meijer. Unfortunately, this flavor is not available on Walmart’s website, but you can grab yourself a couple bags on Amazon for about $10.
If we learned anything from last time, it’s that Orange Creamsicle probably won’t be around for long. There’s no time like the present to treat yourself to one of the most unique Twizzlers flavors ever.
