Cracker Barrel announced a special menu with fall flavors that we’re already drooling over! (It’s almost as good as these take-home treats from the Old Country Store.) Rolling into select restaurants now and available until October 7, this menu has a cozy breakfast dish, main course and dessert, as well as a coffee drink that sounds too good to be true. The recipes all offer a hearty Southern take on traditional fall flavors.
This Is What’s on the Menu
The limited-edition Cracker Barrel menu items put a twist on something classic. Here’s what to look for:
- Biscuit French Toast: made from dipped and griddled buttermilk biscuits served with sweet blackberry topping. Delicious!
- Parmesan Crusted Biscuit Pot Pie: a fresh-baked buttermilk biscuit with a griddled, crispy parmesan crust atop slow-simmered chicken, peas, carrots, celery and onions, all in a rich creamy sauce seasoned with hints of pepper and thyme.
- Buttermilk Biscuit Beignets: fluffy beignets dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of rich butter pecan dipping sauce.
For something seasonal to wash all this down, try the new Pumpkin Pie Latte, topped with whipped cream, cinnamon and spices (get your at-home fix with this copycat recipe), or the naturally-flavored Blood Orange and Black Cherry sodas by Blue Sky.
Even the most dedicated Cracker Barrel fans might not know this!
“Tried and True Made New”
“For almost 50 years, Cracker Barrel has been serving up our signature, made-from-scratch biscuits with simple, high-quality ingredients,” said Cracker Barrel’s Vice President of Culinary Cammie Spillyards-Schaefer. “Our ‘Tried and True Made New’ recipes are where tradition meets innovation, and this unique take on one of our most beloved menu items offers guests new sweet and savory flavors to enjoy this fall.”
It should come as no surprise that these recipes are biscuit-centric, because Cracker Barrel produces more than 190 million biscuits each year! Even if you can’t make it into a restaurant to give the dishes a try by October 7, you can always make our Cracker Barrel copycats at home.
