Chick-fil-A may be known for its original chicken sandwich, but it’s not the most popular menu item at Chick-fil-A. The iconic sandwich was beaten out by a side of crunchy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside Waffle Potato Fries!

Waffle Potato Fries elevate fast-food fries to a whole new level. The unique shape gives you more potato than a regular thin-cut fry, and obviously, more area to dunk in sauce! With seven standard sauces Chick-fil-A (and ketchup and honey), people need the right vehicle to savor all those amazing flavors. From the famous Chick-fil-A sauce (check out the copycat recipe) to more unique options like Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, there’s nothing that these fries can’t be dipped in.

Although the classic waffle potato fries are most popular, Chick-fil-A also introduced Sweet Potato Waffle Fries to the menu. Unfortunately, their run was short-lived, lasting only four months, but they were definitely popular while they lasted! We can only hope the chain will bring back their cinnamon chipotle dusted goodness.

Most people love the fries, but other customers couldn’t get enough of Chick-fil-A’s drinks menu. Looking at you, refreshing Sweet Iced Tea and tangy lemonade!

Last year’s fan favorite, Chicken Nuggets, dropped to number four, which is still a pretty respectable place in our opinion. And Potato Waffle Fries aren’t the only side on the list—Mac & Cheese and Hash Browns made a pretty respectable appearance, too. We can’t wait to see next year’s list!
