M&M’s has been on a roll lately, dropping delicious new treats all through the season. From a new Honey Graham variety for Easter and Strawberry Shake M&M’s for Valentine’s Day to M&M’s mix bags containing three flavors, they’ve been keeping us on our toes!
However, the biggest M&M’s news is that a long-awaited flavor has finally reached store shelves—and it combines two of our absolute favorite treats. Say hello to M&M’s Crunchy Cookie.
We’ve made TONS of M&M’s cookies with our favorite candy embedded all through the cookie dough, but this time, we’ve got crunchy cookies inside M&M’s! The new flavor features a crunchy cookie center wrapped in milk chocolate and encased in the classic, colorful M&M’s candy shell. Will baking cookies with these make the ultimate M&M’s cookie?!
Now, this isn’t the first time M&M’s has combined cookies with iconic candy—fans still fondly remember the sugar cookie M&M’s that dropped over the holidays. However, unlike that limited-edition release, M&M’s Crunchy Cookie will become a permanent part of the brand’s lineup.
What Do They Taste Like?
Right out of the package, Crunchy Cookie M&M’s are a bit rounder than classic M&Ms. Each bite lives up to its name, offering a crunchy, cookie interior wrapped in a sweet chocolate shell. When eaten by the handful, these mini morsels taste similar to a buttery cookie. Plus, the candy is light and airy, making it too easy to polish off an entire bag.
And while they’re delicious on their own, the Crunchy Cookie flavor has plenty of dessert potential. We can’t wait to bake them into our Golden M&M’s Bars, add them to a snack mix or sprinkle them over a bowl of ice cream.
Where Can I Get ‘Em?
M&M’s Crunchy Cookie is now available nationwide in three sizes: Single (1.35 ounces), Share (2.83 ounces) and Sharing Stand Up Pouch (7.4 ounces). Find them on the official M&M’s website, or at Amazon, Walmart and other retailers.
Bonus: The Ultimate Crunchy Cookie
To celebrate the new flavor, M&M’s has partnered with Milk Bar baking icon, Christina Tosi, to develop a crunchy M&M’s cookie. And the best part? Everyone has the chance to try her creation. Starting March 29, 2022, 100 M&M’s x Christina Tosi cookies will be up for grabs.
If you’re not quick enough to claim one of the limited-edition cookies, don’t worry. You’ll still receive the official M&M’s x Christina Tosi cookie recipe. You can mix up a batch at home!
