I take my hydration seriously and have an ever-evolving collection of water bottles to prove it. For a short while, I lugged around a ginormous half-gallon bottle, allowing me to have both my daily water intake and a bicep workout on the go. It looked like I was carrying around a fire extinguisher, though, and I soon downsized my hydration efforts.

As much as I love my trusty 30-ounce Stanley tumbler, I’ve been looking for something smaller and without a straw, so it’s one less thing to worry about washing. And oh boy, did I find it. Meet my new favorite water bottle, the Micro Hydro 200mL from Hydro Flask.

Micro Hydro 200mL

It's the cutest but mightiest stainless steel bottle we've ever seen. Its insulated, leakproof construction keeps liquids hot or cold for up to seven hours.

What is the Micro Hydro Flask?

The Micro Hydro 200mL is a 6.7-ounce stainless steel bottle with double-wall vacuum insulation that keeps liquids cold or hot for up to seven hours. The small, leakproof bottle is super easy to stow in a bag, so you can stay cool and hydrated or have hot water ready for tea, ramen, oatmeal and more on the go. But it’s not only good for water. You can fill it with cooking oil, salad dressing, milk, coffee creamer and even pancake syrup—basically, whatever liquid you’d like to keep handy, whether you’re taking it to your kitchen table to the office to the campsite. It’s dishwasher-friendly for easy cleanup, too, which is awesome.

The Micro Hydro just so happens to hold the contents of a wine glass rather perfectly, too…Just saying. I tested this out during a recent movie night in our basement, and I was thrilled when the capped flask saved my Vermentino during a jump scare.

The 200mL is the tiniest in the Micro Hydro Flask collection, which is also available in 300mL and 400mL sizes. The larger the bottle, the longer the liquid stays cold or hot. It comes in a whole slew of colors, from bold brights to cool pastels. I’m loving my mine in one of the newest shades, Cloud Pink, and I think it makes quite the cute combo with my 32-ounce Hydro Flask.

How to Use

The Micro Hydro is like any other water bottle you’ve used, only it’s absurdly and adorably small. Just unscrew the cap, fill it up with your choice of cold or hot liquid and you’re good to go.

I fill mine with cold water from my Brita pitcher to stay hydrated as I work from home during the day. The petite bottle opening makes sipping easy, which is good news if you’re someone like me who regularly douses herself when drinking from wide-mouth bottles. I also love that it takes up less space on my desk. Sure, I empty it more quickly than I do my larger Hydro Flask, but I don’t mind because I get my steps in when going to the kitchen for a refill, so it’s a win-win.

The bottle comes with a removable strap, which I’ve kept on because I get a kick out of carrying my teensy little bottle on my pinky around the house. It’s all about personal preference, though; the flexible strap folds down to keep the bottle profile compact, so it’s not really a big deal to keep the strap on if you were to pop it into a bag.
