McDonald’s Singapore Has a Coconut Pie That’s Packed with Tropical Flavor

This might be the best McDonald's pie to ever exist.

It’s the perfect time of year for tropical desserts with flavors of lemon, lime, mango and coconut, among others. There’s something about ’em that just makes us feel like we’re on vacation somewhere warm, basking in the golden glow and listening to waves lap against the shore.

In our opinion, coconut is the ideal warm-weather flavor. McDonald’s thinks so, too, because it brought back a fan-favorite dessert this year: the coconut pie.

Your Vacation Dreams, Baked into a Pie

Seriously, how can you not love McDonald’s pies? As if the blueberry cream cheese pie and chocolate pie weren’t enough, the chain has rolled out this unique seasonal delight. It sounds like the coconut pie was first available in 2017 to customers in Singapore as part of a special promotion—and back then, it sold out so fast that some people complained about not being able to get one! This year, it’s available at both the drive-thru and for takeout, so that problem is solved (although it’s still a limited-time-only thing).

The pie itself, though, appears to be exactly the same as it was three years ago. It’s still stuffed with coconut filling and nata de coco bits, and honestly, we’re drooling. The package calls it a “treat for your taste buds,” and we totally agree.

Where Can I Get One?

OK, here’s the bad news. Just as it was three years ago, this incredible fast-food creation is only available in Singapore. So unless you’re planning a vacation—or you really, really want this specific pie and you’re willing to travel to get it—chances aren’t good that those of us living in the U.S. will taste it for ourselves. Darn it, McD’s!

Fortunately, there are plenty of cool seasonal treats you can get your hands on right now. Check out Taco Bell’s new Pineapple Whip Freeze or Tie-Dye Freeze, or go for a coconut milk latte at Starbucks. No matter where you savor the flavors of summer, there are plenty of tasty fast-food options to be found.
