McDonald’s Just Launched an Adult Happy Meal—Here’s How to Get It

Happy meals used to be just for kids, but McDonald's new adult happy meals have changed the rules.

Our memories of meals out as kids aren’t about fancy tablecloths and exceptional service. They’re about the things that really mattered. Fries, nuggets, Big Macs and, of course, Happy Meals. Even though Happy Meals have gone through some changes over the years, they remain the source of much nostalgia.

While some McDonald’s innovations like the Chicken Big Mac are surely meant for adults, Happy Meals are very much for kids. Until now, at least!

What’s in the Adult Happy Meal?

Happy meals are no longer just about nostalgia, as McDonald’s is now launching an adult Happy Meal! The new offering comes courtesy of a collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market, one of the current hottest names in fashion.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market Box comes with a Big Mac or 10-piece chicken McNuggets, along with fries and a drink. The box looks exactly like a regular Happy Meal box complete with colorful, eye-catching art, though we assume it’ll have to be a bit larger than the regular box.

And, yes, there’s even a toy involved. The toys will be pretty recognizable and nostalgic themselves, including Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie. But there’ll also be a new one, Cactus Buddy, in honor of the Cactus Plant Flea Market brand. Like the Halloween buckets, we can’t wait to collect them all!

When Can I Get the Happy Meal?

There are lots of secrets about McDonald’s employees can’t tell you (like how you can order a McFloat even when it’s not on the menu). However, this isn’t one of them. The new adult Happy Meal will be available beginning Monday, October 3! But act fast—this is a limited-edition menu item.
