If you know us, you know we’re big fans of KitchenAid mixers. According to our Test Kitchen pros, KitchenAid’s stand mixer is the best of its kind, and there’s no other appliance quite like it. KitchenAid is an innovator in its space, too, with brand-new colors every year. Of course, the one thing we most look forward to is the annual KitchenAid Color of the Year announcement.

Well, the wait’s over—KitchenAid has announced its 2023 Color of the Year. It’s time to say hello to a vibrant new hue: Hibiscus!

The New Color Is Bold and Energetic

While last year’s color, Beetroot, was all about keeping things rich and sweet, with this year’s hue, KitchenAid pays homage to every cook’s innovative and dynamic side. Plus, it adds dashes of joy and luxury to any kitchen.

The brand uses the words “vivid,” “captivating” and “lush” to describe its bright pink-shaded pick for this year. We can definitely see the connection: the color screams originality and blooms creativity and radiance in any context. With its ability to immediately draw the eye, it’s sure to be the focal point of the kitchen, and give anyone in there the desire “to embrace new things,” with its energy of “extravagance and free-spirited adventure.”

Hibiscus features rich fuchsia hues with a matte finish, and acts as a striking complement to any style of kitchen. While it strongly evokes modern, enthralling and eye-catching vibes, Hibiscus can work well in classic and retro kitchens, too.
