Even though the U.S. has the reputation of excelling at junk food—think Big Macs and 32-ounce sodas—often it’s foreign countries that get all of the inventive snack food flavors.
Case in point: Australia was just introduced to Mountain Dew Doritos! And now Guacamole Doritos have been spotted in the U.K. Tortilla chips and ripe avocado sound like a perfect pairing!
Did you know that other countries have Clam Chowder and Olive, Yogurt & Mint flavored Doritos?
What’s the Scoop?
Instagram account @_well_this_is_new_ spotted these new chips in the wild at Waitrose & Partners, a British supermarket. From what we can tell, these Doritos are lime-green and ready to be dipped into salsa.

Are They Really New?
Despite being new to the U.K., if you’re of a certain age you might recall Guacamole Doritos being sold in the U.S. in the ’90s. Lay’s also used to make a Cool Guacamole flavor. So, maybe these “new” chips aren’t exactly novel, but they certainly sound delicious.
If you can’t wait for these avocado-flavored tortilla chips to possibly make their way across the pond and into your local grocery store, there are other brands that combine the same flavors.
