How to Make a PB&J Sushi Roll, According to Disney’s Recipe
This PB&J sushi roll is made with bread, peanut butter and jelly.
The love of PB&J sandwiches is practically universal. There’s just something about that simple combination of peanut butter and jelly that appeals to people of all ages. We’re all in luck because Disney shared its recipe for the PB&J Roll!
You might know the PB&J Roll from the Lamplight Lounge in Disney’s California Adventure Park. They look like sushi rolls but are far easier to master.
How Do You Make the Rolls?
You’ll need the same ingredients required for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches: sliced bread, peanut butter and jelly. You can use either white or wheat bread and any jelly you like. Disney recommends using creamy peanut butter for easier spreading, but if you’re a chunky peanut butter fan, that will work, too.
First, cut the crusts off the bread and use a rolling pin to flatten each slice. Spread peanut butter evenly on the bread from edge to edge. Then, roll the whole thing up. Place the roll seam side down and slice it into individual rolls.
Now for a fruity finish! You can use a piping bag or plastic baggie with a corner cut off, if you want to be precise with your drizzles. You could also use a spoon to drizzle the jam and we’re sure it will taste just as good.
