I’m almost convinced that the chocolate-peanut butter combo is a work of the divine. OK, maybe not, but it’s a flavor combination that’s always been close to my heart. (If you love PB&C like I do, you need these recipes.)
What do the cookies look like?
As you can see above, instead of the usual chocolate, the wafer is a graham flavored cookie to mimic the crust of chocolate peanut butter pie (like this one from New York reader Kim Scott). The center, on the other hand, is a swirled peanut butter and chocolate crème.
Where can you get them?
Target, of course! Snag a package of these delicious cookies for just $2.99.
What other limited-edition flavors has Oreo released?
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie is just one of the many recent flavors from Oreo. The cookie makers also announced these flavors at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago:
- Pistachio Thins: thin and crispy chocolate wafers with green pistachio frosting (try them for yourself)
- Rocky Road: the classic chocolate wafer with marshmallow bits and a Rocky Road crème center
- Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake: golden wafers with strawberry-flavored bits and strawberry crème filling
- Peppermint Bark: cocoa wafer, plus peppermint-flavored crème complete with crunchy red sugar crystals for that bark-like bite
