Chick-fil-A Just Brought Back a Sandwich Fans Haven’t Seen in Years

When it comes to chicken, Chick-fil-A does not mess around. This chain knows how to make a juicy, well-seasoned chicken sandwich, which tempts us every day (except for Sundays).
The staple chicken sandwich is a perennial top ranker in fast-food chicken sandwich taste tests. The seasonal and limited edition offerings are strong, too, and fans have been known to shed a tear when beloved menu items disappear.
The Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich dropped off the menu in 2022, but Chick-fil-A just confirmed its return!
What’s on the Chick-fil-A Smokehouse BBQ sandwich?
Expect a juicy grilled chicken filet topped with crispy brown sugar and black pepper bacon, Colby Jack cheese, lettuce and a savory, smoky barbecue sauce. The bun will be fluffy, toasted and buttery, so this truly is the sandwich of dreams.
When this sandwich was on the menu three years ago, it only came with the original breaded chicken filet. This time around, though, customers to order a spicy breaded chicken filet or grilled chicken filet! I’m an absolute sucker for the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, so you know I’ll be sampling this bad boy with spicy chick. Thank you for blessing us, Chick-fil-A. When does the spring menu drop?
The Smokehouse BBQ Sandwich drops on March 17, 2025. To complete the spring menu, Chick-fil-A also has a new line of Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages. You can order Pineapple Dragonfruit mixed with regular lemonade, Frosted Lemonade, iced tea and Sunjoy (aka 50-50 ice tea and lemonade). The new items will be available at participating locations but only for a “limited time,” according to Chick-fil-A.
