The Avengers are assembling to stock your fridge.
Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. Just Teamed Up for a Brand New Beverage
Once upon a time, I sat in a movie theater and watched five movies in a row. It was 2016, and it was the day that Captain America: Civil War was coming out in theaters. My local theater was doing a special back-to-back marathon of Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron and finally, Civil War.
My friends and I called in sick to work (sorry for outing you nine years later!) and went to watch all of the movies. It was exciting and felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So you can imagine how excited I was to hear that Iron Man and Spider-Man were teaming up again–except this time, it wasn’t on screen. Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland collaborated via their beverage brands, happy coffee and BERO, to bring a brand-new nonalcoholic Avenger to your fridge.
What is the BERO x happy collab?

In case you missed it, Tom Holland launched a nonalcoholic beer company called BERO in 2024, which my dad and I dutifully reviewed earlier this year. Robert Downey Jr., also launched happy coffee in the same year. But this is the first time that the two beverage entrepreneurs have teamed up to create a brand new product.
The BERO x happy Coffee Draught is a stout-style beer—without the alcohol, of course. I took a few cans over to my dad’s so we could taste and review the beer.
What does the BERO x happy collab taste like?
Firstly, I always have to mention how great the BERO packaging is. It looks and feels so much like a regular craft can that I keep forgetting that it doesn’t contain alcohol.
We poured the beer into these little tasting-size snifter glasses, since that’s usually what we’ll sip a stout from. The color was a satisfying dark brown, and it smelled distinctly like coffee. The coffee taste was also very strong once we started drinking, and it built pleasantly. Some stouts purport to go all out on fun dessert flavors like coffee, chocolate or even peanut butter, and then end up being sadly weak. That was not the case here, as the coffee packed a punch.
The texture of the beer was a little lighter and had more of an effervescence to it than a traditional stout. I really enjoyed this, because it made it imminently more drinkable. I polished off my little taster glass quickly.
My dad was similarly impressed by the strong coffee flavor and said it was a perfect beer for fall. He isn’t typically a fan of a flavored stout; classic Guinness is probably his cold weather beer of choice. But he appreciated the coffee notes in this one, and liked that it didn’t pull sweet like some flavored stouts can. We’d both happily keep the BERO x happy Coffee Draught on hand for cooler months.
Where can I buy the BERO x happy collab?
This launch is available exclusively at Target while supplies last—so if you need an excuse to make a Target run, this is it! And if you’re interested in sampling nonalcoholic beer in general, go ahead and pick up any variety of BERO. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. For the caffeine lovers, happy is also available at Target, and comes in a variety of roasts and flavors. Honestly, if Iron Man and Spider-Man can keep releasing a limited-edition collab every year, I’d be inclined to grab it every time.
