Besides the kitchen, there’s another room we spend quite a bit of time in…the bathroom! And, like the rest of our house, it can be tough to keep clean all the time. Between looking for shower cleaning hacks or finding ways to freshen the bathroom up, it can be a ton of work. And don’t even get me started on all the random hair products we’ve got on the vanity.
Finding the right bathroom organization products can seem daunting, but don’t worry. Here’s a DIY project to help you create more counter space in a small bathroom.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 wooden crates
- 2 craft wood planks (sizes vary)
- Staple gun
- Staples
- Wood stain or paint of your choice, optional
Directions
- Start by stapling the first wooden crate between the pieces of craft wood.
- Leave an inch or so of space and repeat with another crate a little further up the craft wood pieces.
- Finish by stapling the last crate to the very top. You should have a freestanding DIY bathroom container with slightly tilted baskets for easy storage.
- Feel free to finish with a wood stain or paint to fit your bathroom aesthetic.
