This Year’s Bath & Body Works Candle Day Could Last THREE Days—Here’s What We Know

Updated: Dec. 12, 2023

Bath & Body Works Candle Day is almost here! Here's everything you need to know before the sale.

Mark your calendars for the unofficial holiday coming up. It falls between Thanksgiving and Christmas—but if you guessed Black Friday, try again. We’re talking about Bath & Body Works Candle Day!

Known for lotions, scents and sales, Bath & Body Works is one of the best names in the home fragrance retail game when it comes finding deals.  (There’s a reason we’ve already checked out the Bath & Body Works 2021 Christmas Collection.) The company’s seasonal fragrances are captivating and come in all sorts of soaps, sanitizers, room sprays and more. However, nothing is more representative of Bath & Body Works than the wildly popular collection of 3-wick candles, which will soon be selling at their lowest price of the year.

When Is Bath & Body Works Candle Day?

The 2021 Bath & Body Works Candle Day sale is rumored to be on December 3, 4 and 5. Bath & Body Works has several sales a year, but this one is easily the most anticipated.

The company’s 3-wick candles are hot ticket items, especially with holiday scents like Vanilla Bean Noel and Frosted Cranberry. Bath & Body Works’ 3-wick candles retail for $25.50 most days of the year, but customers will see prices drop by more than 50% for Candle Day. The Krazy Coupon Lady has been tracking Candle Day price trends, and reports that candles are expected to sell for between $9.95 and $10.25. Sure, you can get Christmas candles everywhere, but that price is hard to beat for a 14.5-ounce candle!

Candle Day will likely last for three whole days in 2021. If you’ve shopped on Candle Day in the past, the event used to be for only one day in-store and online. But, like many other things, this changed in 2020 to span over the course of three days. The three-day sale will likely happen again this year.

Here’s What to Know This Year

Aside from price projections and event dates, there are a few other things you should know about Candle Day if you truly want to get the best deals.

  • Shop in-store. If possible, shopping in-store is your best bet for two reasons. First, you’ll avoid the $5.99 shipping charge that applies to online orders. Second, the sale products online might only be limited to the first day of the sale. On Candle Day 2020, the in-store prices remained the same over the sale’s three-day period, but the online sale prices didn’t last past day one.
  • Use your coupons. One of the things we love most about Bath & Body Works? The coupons don’t have blackout dates. This means valid coupons can be stacked on top of existing discounts. That being said, the coupons available during this time will likely be limited. If you join the Bath & Body Works rewards program, you’ll receive a coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase, which The Krazy Coupon Lady says is probably your best bet for stacking on Candle Day.

Otherwise, good luck and happy shopping! Here are some more Bath & Body Works shopping hacks you can use year-round.
