The Our Place Always Pan has steadily flown off shelves and onto stovetops since it first launched in 2019. And Taste of Home readers—and staffers—certainly aren’t immune to the allure of this gorgeous cookware piece. (See for yourself in our Always Pan review.)

In the past few years, Our Place has followed up its flagship item with other winners, including mini cookware, several cast-iron selections and sleek tableware. But far and away the brand’s biggest release just arrived.

Say hello to the new and improved Always Pan 2.0. Here’s what you need to know about this updated beauty.

What is the Always Pan 2.0?

The Always Pan 2.0 is the successor of the viral Always Pan 1.0 and joins the ranks of other internet-famous cookware brands, including Caraway, Green Pan and Beautiful by Drew Barrymore.

Costing $150, the surprisingly lightweight pan comes in eight matte yet eye-catching colors, including sage, lavender and blue salt. Moreover, it measures roughly 11 inches wide and 20 inches long from handle to handle. Like the original, each 2.0 pan comes with a steam-release lid, steamer basket and wood spatula.

The pan has 10 uses, including braising, searing, steaming, sauteing, frying, boiling, baking, roasting, straining and serving. This is an upgrade from the previous iteration’s eight functions.

Because of its breadth of services, the Always Pan 2.0 is intended to be your go-to cookware and to spare you money, cleanup time and storage space.

How does the Always Pan 2.0 differ from the original Always Pan?

Based on the nearly 33,000 positive reviews on Our Place’s website, it’s hard to imagine how the Always Pan 1.0 could be revamped. And if you merely look at the Always Pan 2.0, it’s hard to observe how it was revamped, too. But that’s because the upgrades aren’t aesthetic.

For a negligible cost difference (the 1.0 is $145 and the 2.0 is $150), you get a pan that’s oven-safe with a refined nonstick surface and recycled aluminum core.

Always Pan 2.0 Upgrades

  • Oven-safe: Despite common misconception, the Always Pan 1.0 could not be put in the oven. The Always Pan 2.0, on the other hand, decidedly can. It is safe in temperatures up to 450°F, which means you can use it for baking, roasting and, in some ovens, broiling. Upside-down cake, here we come!
  • Nonstick surface: Exclusive to Our Place products and called Thermakind, the new toxin-free nonstick ceramic surface should last 50% longer than that of 1.0. And it’s totally safe; the main components are a sand derivative, water and alcohol.
  • Sustainability: The Always Pan has had an ultra-conductive aluminum core since its inception. The 2.0, however, boasts an aluminum core that’s made of 100% certified post-consumer waste (i.e., it’s recycled).
