We've all bought an ingredient for a recipe and had to throw the rest away later. Not this time! Here are some fresh ideas to help you use up the last bits from the recipes featured below.

Pesto

Leftover from this recipe:
Pesto-Olive Chicken

  • Leftover pesto is a great thing to have around because it's so versatile. Pesto's wonderful as a spread on veggie or Italian subs and perfect as a sauce for pita pizzas.
  • Mix a small amount of pesto with cream cheese and spread on toasted plain bagels.
  • Spread on baguette slices and broil for an easy base for bruschetta.

Feta Cheese

Leftover from this recipe:
Greek Pizzas

  • Add leftover feta to scrambled eggs. It'll add salty flavor and a creamy texture.
  • Feta is terrific sprinkled on salads, especially with Greek vinaigrette dressing.
  • Stir together feta, honey and cracked black pepper for a salty-sweet spread for crackers.

Roasted Red Peppers

Leftover from this recipe:
Antipasto Pizza

  • Layer leftover peppers in sandwiches with spinach leaves, fresh mozzarella cheese and grilled portobello mushrooms.
  • The smoky flavor of roasted peppers is a perfect complement to chorizo. Toss both with pasta or add them to a sandwich for extra flavor.

Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Leftover from this recipe:
Stuffed-Crust Chicken Pizza

  • Bursting with flavor, these make great additions to quesadillas, scrambled eggs, salads, pizzas and more.
  • If you're a fan of goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes make an ideal topping for toasted French bread or crackers. Add some pesto for a special treat.

Horseradish Sauce

Leftover from this recipe:

  • Stir together horseradish sauce and sour cream for a classic spread for steaks or roast beef sandwiches.
  • Like your Bloody Marys with a kick? Stir in a teaspoon of horseradish sauce.

Cornmeal

Leftover from this recipe:

  • Give homemade pizza crust a great texture—sprinkle some cornmeal on the pizza stone or pan like in this Nacho Pizza recipe. It also prevents pizza from sticking to the pan.
