Potato salad and saltines may be a staple in your house, but these tasty twists may spark your taste buds when you're tired of the same-old recipes.

"I have been making this mouth-watering potato salad for years," says Margaret Scott from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. "My family likes spicy foods, and my son provides a constant supply of Cajun sausage for my Cajun Potato Salad. Made with extra sausage, it’s a filling one-dish meal."

Spicy Potato Salad is a great potluck or picnic dish. "One of the best things is that it's a snap to fix," says Donna Lefurgey from Prescott, Arizona.

"I have a taste for beans and find them a great companion to potatoes," says Bea Vrsalijko of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. "Green Bean Potato Salad is versatile side dish—add ham to make the salad a meal in itself—this one's among the recipes that I've invented myself."

Since Rhode Island is known as the Ocean State, Shrimp Potato Salad represents the state well. Shrimp adds a new twist to traditional potato salad in this recipe from Gladys Wolff of Coventry, Rhode Island.

"My mother-in-law gave me the recipe for Artichoke Nibbles when I married her son, and I've been making them for special occasions ever since," relates Karen Brown of Trenton, Michigan.

You'll get hooked on Pirate's Delight from Susan Kaye of Olivet, Michigan. The flaky baked cod has a delicately seasoned golden coating and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.

In Hoskins, Nebraska, Melissa Heberer combines butter pecan ice cream and instant pudding to create this sweet frozen treat. A crushed Butterfinger candy bar adds crunch to the tasty topping for Candy Bar Freezer Dessert.

"Easy to prepare using pantry staples, Saltine Toffee is always a hit," says Jo Ann Dalrymple from Claremore, Oklahoma. Her sweetly unique bites start with saltine crackers and are drizzled with white chocolate for an elegant and easy accent.
