For self-proclaimed "foodie" Jennifer Shaw, cooking is more than putting dinner on the table. "It's my primary hobby," she writes from her home in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
She loves to be in the kitchen with music playing, just "puttering around" and coming up with new recipes. But occasionally, the hustle and bustle of living and working in nearby Boston can take its toll. "Sometimes, I just want to get in and out of the kitchen in order to maximize the time spent eating lazily in front of the TV," she says.
For this single workingwoman, cooking came naturally, but with lots of inspiration from her grandmother. Now she cooks mostly for herself, and meals are pretty informal. However, she writes, "I find that I cook enough food to feed about four people. I have trouble showing restraint in the kitchen…or in life!"
The meal serves four and holds nothing back when it comes to flavor and ease. Begin with Jennifer's Zippy Paprika Chicken. "It has a completely unique flavor and a hint of the classic Hungarian paprika chicken dish, but with a modern twist."
