Zesty Grilled Ham Recipe

This is my children's first choice of ham dishes. The mixture of sweet and tangy flavors is mouthwatering on a grilled piece of ham. Even the small ones eat adult-sized portions, so be sure to make plenty.— Mary Ann Lien, Tyler, Texas
TOTAL TIME: Prep/Total Time: 15 min. YIELD:4 servings


  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham steak (1 to 2 pounds)


  • 1. Place brown sugar, horseradish and lemon juice in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Brush over both sides of ham.
  • 2. Place ham on an oiled grill rack over medium heat. Grill, covered, until glazed and heated through, 7-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Yield: 4 servings.
