Calling for just a few ingredients, this is one candy that's simple to prepare. I make lots of different candy at Christmas to give as gifts. It's time consuming, but worth it to see the delight it brings to people.

Since I don't like store-bought sauces, I decided to come up with my own. I make it for family and for company, and I'll often get asked for the recipe.
My husband and I are both teachers, although I am now at home with our children...they're 7, 5, and 3. My hobbies are Bible study, international cooking (I like trying lots of recipes!) and planning activities with our youngsters.
I grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother making Pennsylvania Dutch classics. This scrumptious recipe, which combines two of our favorite flavors, is one I adapted.

I've made this scrumptious topping ever since the early 1980s. It always turns out smooth and yummy. The dark chocolate flavor, with a hint of rum extract, is not overly sweet but will still satisfy a chocoholic's cravings.

"You’ll have no hassle, no fuss and no leftovers with this dessert," Sue Shank promises from Harrisonburg, Virginia. "It looks impressive, but it’s actually so simple. It can be prepared in a 9- or 11-inch pan and tastes wonderful served warm with ice cream or whipped topping."
There's more than chocolate in this luscious layer cake. The creamy ricotta cheese frosting is flavored with orange juice, mini chocolate chips and bits of candied cherries. —Betty Knorr, Chandler, Arizona
My mother-in-law loved chocolate malts—and cheesecakes, too. Can you guess who passed this recipe on to me? Sometimes, I substitute pretzel crumbs for the graham cracker crumbs. They make a surprisingly good crust!
These festive cookies remind my family of after dinner mints. With my husband and our two children munching on these chocolaty treats with cool mint filling, a batch never stays around long.
