Whether eaten as a side or as an appetizer, crispy wontons are pretty hard to resist. And when they're simple to make and don't require a fryer to make, you've got all the more incentive to wrap 'em, bake 'em and eat up 'em anytime you want. The recipe for these Crispy Baked Wontons comes from Brianna Shade of Beaverton, Oregon. She likes to make a big batch of these irresistible bites so she can snack on a few, then freeze the rest for later. Smart thinking!
These tasty little wontons are so fun to make. It's a delicious bonus that they're baked instead of fried, too. Stuffed with pork, turkey, water chestnuts, onion and a little reduced-sodium soy sauce and ginger, they're packed with flavor. Serve with a side of sweet and sour sauce and you may never turn to Chinese takeout again.
