Tuna Melt Sandwiches Recipe
- 3/4 cup chopped celery
- 3/4 cup diced cheddar cheese
- 1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained and flaked
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 6 hamburger buns, split
- 1. In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients; set aside. Spread butter over cut sides of buns. Spread tuna mixture on bun bottoms; replace tops. Wrap in foil. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Yield: 6 servings.
1 serving (1 each) equals 363 calories, 23 g fat (10 g saturated fat), 50 mg cholesterol, 629 mg sodium, 23 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 15 g protein.

"This recipe is very easy and delicious. I didn't feel like chopping an onion, so I used 1 teaspoon onion powder instead. Also used 3/4 cup shredded cheese instead of diced cheese. The kids loved this."
