Tuna Burgers Recipe
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 pouch (6.4 ounces) light tuna in water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- Lettuce leaves and sliced tomato, optional
- 1. Mix first six ingredients; fold in tuna. Shape into four patties.
- 2. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Cook patties until lightly browned, 4-5 minutes per side. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato if desired. Yield: 4 servings.
1 burger: 417 calories, 23g fat (7g saturated fat), 79mg cholesterol, 710mg sodium, 35g carbohydrate (6g sugars, 2g fiber), 17g protein.

"I love crab cakes and these are almost as good for a fraction of the price. I have eaten them in buns with lettuce and pepper rings and bunless with tarter sauce. I don't use mayonaise in the recipe, but Miracle Whip Lite and that cuts the fat and calories some. I have given the recipe to family too. These are great!"
