Instead of tossed salad, I serve these attractive tomato and mozzarella slices, drizzled with oil and sprinkled with basil. They're especially tasty made with fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden. -Concetta Maranto Skenfield, Bakersfield, California

"This is the traditional Caprese Salad. I tend to use fresh mozzarella balls cut into slices instead of the pre-sliced kind. The fresh variety is more traditional Italian. But the pre-sliced kind works well and it all blends together into a delightful offering that is something different than the typical blah lettuce and tomato salad. When fresh basil was not available at my store, I even used dried basil. Still a great combo!"

"Very easy. Very fresh. It was even better after it sat for a little while - allowing the flavors to really blend."
