  • 2 medium zucchini, cut into strips
  • 1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted

Nutritional Facts

3/4 cup: 64 calories, 3g fat (2g saturated fat), 10mg cholesterol, 362mg sodium, 8g carbohydrate (6g sugars, 2g fiber), 3g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 vegetable, 1/2 fat.


  1. In a large skillet, saute zucchini and onion in butter for 7-8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Stir in the teriyaki sauce and pepper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Yield: 4 servings.

"Highly recommend using a sweet onion, such as Vidalia or Carzalia. Please try Kikkoman Teriyaki Baste & Glaze or Stir Fry Sauce in place of the standard teriyaki sauce. It's terrific. Yum! Yum!"
