- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 4 quarts water
- Mix the ingredients and chill. Yield: 4 quarts.

"This is a quick and easy version of a New England traditional beverage also known as "switchel." Try substituting molasses for the sugar. Best if left to mellow for a few hours before serving."
