Reviews for Sweet Barbecued Pork Chops
"Very good sauce"
"a little sweet for me but my family liked them"
"Did these in my Crock Pot. They were great. I did cut the brown sugar and honey in half though. I will try this sauce with chicken.I am betting it will be just as good."
"I have made these twice. The first time I went by the recipe and the second time I left out the brown sugar and added unsweetened applesauce. Both were delicious."
"Couldn't be much easier! Followed the recipe exactly, but cut it in half. Was worried there might not be enough sauce, but there was plenty. Great flavors. Terrific for weeknight dinners."
"Flavor was excellent.. I only gave a 4 because I did not trust the recipe (cooking pork) for the times, and overcooked them. Will definitely try again, and trust the recipe!"
"Wouldn't change a thing! My whole family loved it and I am definitely making it again."
"I use boneless pork sirloin, and they are really tender. Some pork is rather tough, and it not cooked long enough will test your dentures. I dredge the pork in flour, salute in EVOO for about 5 mins ea. side. Remove them a keep warm. Into the pan I add chopped onions and red bell pepper and sweat this down a little, add some carmelized onions and continue by adding the pork back into the mix and some veggie broth which you can make yourself with carrots and celery ahead of time.Let this come to a simmer for at least one hour, Then test the pork with a toothpick to see if it is done. Works for me....."
"I've been using this recipe ever since i got it. We absolutely love it!!! The only thing I did differently is that I baked them in the oven at 250 for an hour tightly covered after browning them in a skillet. They come out very tender where you can cut it with a fork."
"I have tried many recipes but this one is the best the sauce is realy good my kids loved this one i made 2 batches and it wasnt enough. I did just as recipe called but after sauce was done i poared it over the chops and baked 30 min covered to tenderize the meat and another. 30 min un covered so the sauce would thicken it was amazing i will definetly do this again"
"Fantastic barbeque recipe!"
"Absolutely awesome! Didn't have any honey, but used 1/4 molasses instead. The family loved it! Will definitely make again."
"Oh my gosh, is this good!!!! Can't wait to try it with chicken! Served it with TOH's Creamy Mac-n-cheese, and Country Baked Beans. What a lovely combination!!!"
"Excellent recipe. Sauce was delicious!"
"I just tried it !! SIX STARS !!!easy - loved it too.CHANGES IT UP A LITTLE1 - Marinaded it in a small portion of the sauce for a half hr . Then discarded the sauce from the marinading bowl for sanitary reasons . Very little sauce was thrown away .2- Chopped onions + let it sit for 10 mins because this improves the potency in the onions + garlic when You use it in any recipe .3 - Browned it for 3 mins on each side like the recipe says in "Canola Oil " ...after this I washed out the pan and used "Olive oil " for 30 secs per side . Olive oil loses its goodness when in the pan too long and canola is generally a good + cheap cooking oil to work with .4- After all the browning was done put it on very low and let it simmer for 20 mins5 - Quickly gave the frying pan a light scrubbing + rinsing so nothing was caked on .6 I froze the remaining portionsIf YOu haven't tried this , I think You will find this very easy to prep , cook + clean after as well as a very enjoyable dishTHANKS FOR THE RECIPE !!!-Knyvet ( the ORIGINAL DUMB BATCHELOR )"
"Yum! The sauce was excellent and the pork chops were very tender. Will definitely make this again."
"What a hit at my dinner table last night ... absolutely delicious! Served over white rice from my rice cooker. Sauce was unbelievable simple ... center cut chops tender .... WOW! Rave reviews from my 4 guests."
"This dish was unbleepinglievable! All I had was some pork loin that I had the butcher slice into inch thick chops, so I sliced that into strips. Also, I added Vidalia onion salad dressing to the mix and an extra helping of chopped sweet onion. Then, I let it simmer on almost low for 30 minutes covered. Served over rice with a side of buttered green beans and a breadstick rolled in butter and parmesean cheese. dessert was sliced watermelon. Thanks Taste of Home!"
"Delish!!! Had for dinner tonight w/broccoli and rice!!!"
"My family loved these. I had to make two batches, 1 to eat and 1 to freeze."
"These taste terrific and we loved these! I love that the recipe made eight servings...lots of leftovers!"

"Simple and tasty, just the way I like it. YUM"
"EXCELLENT! The french dressing makes it taste amazing!"
"This is the second time I have made this recipe although I don't use the French dressing or all the brown sugar it calls for. The chops turn out delicious! I brown them then put them in the oven to finish. It smells delicious, too.!"
"Some of my family are huge fans of barbecue while others? Not so much. However, EVERYONE loved this! Someone even commented that the sauce tastes just like the kind you get from a McRib. Personally I think it tastes even better than that. This is an AWESOME recipe I'm going to continue to make over and over again."
"Very easy and delicious! Sauce is great. Actually I used a honey barbecue sauce so I didn't have to add the honey just the brown sugar and french dressing. I browned the chops and then put them in the crockpot with the sauce over them and cooked on low for about 4-5 hours and they turned out tender and delicious! For sure a keeper..."
"These pork chops were fantastic and the sauce was awesome. I will make this again."
"This was great. So nice to be able to freeze half and have for another meal later."
"In my opinion, porkchops just need a sauce. They tend to be BLAH without one. This had nice flavor and was VERY fast to make. All ingredients are ususally on hand so I will make this again."
"I was a little unsure of the combination of the sauce ingredients, but went ahead anway and boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The kids were hollering for seconds. Great recipe for pork!"
"I was out of sweet onion and french salad dressing so we omited them, It still turned out great and the meat was so tender. Will have to try with all the ingredients next time!"
"Wonderful! And so easy. My b/f requests this every week or so. Thanks for posting, Susan!"
"Fantastic, I followed the recipe exactly and was not disappointed. It was not too sweet and the pork melted in my mouth."
"Was very tasty! But hubby did not like it. So I probably wont make it again. He said he really like the sauce but he just doesn't really like pork all that well. And be sure to put both the honey and brown sugar in! They are BOTH necessary!"
"This recipe was delicious. I used really thin boneless pork chops and they turned out so good. I will make this again for sure!"

"This has become a standard in house that does not like pork!"
"I loved the sweet flavor of this pork chop.. Im wondering if cooking it on lower heat for a little longer would make the meat more tender? I might try this next time"
"Whole family enjoyed. Even my son who "hates" everything!!"
"I will make these over and over. They turned out perfect. It is really hard for me to not overcook pork chops so this recipe is definately for me!"
