Reviews for Sweet 'n' Spicy Chicken
"Very easy and delicious. Made it tonight for company that must eat gluten-free. Used mild salsa and mild taco seasoning mix as we aren't fans of spicy foods. This is my second time making this recipe and I will definitely make it again."
"Very simple, very delicious! Husband ate 3 helpings. There went my leftovers for another meal. I guess he really liked it!"
"This was an easy, good dinner. I served it with a brown rice/quinoa mix. My daughter is not a fan of spicy foods, so she was worried it would be too spicy. I used a mild-ish salsa. We both liked it, and I'll probably make it again."
"Great flavor with the peachy sweetness added to salsa and so fast to put together! I love this recipe when time is short and dinner time is close!! If you use a Minute rice, and steam some broccoli, you have a meal in minutes!"
"Very yummy! My mom thought it too spicy but I used regular taco seasoning and medium heat salsa which is what we always use in tacos."
"This was really good. Definitely a "crowd pleaser"!"
"Very Good and easy. Used sugar-free apricot jam. Served with whole grain spaghetti."
"This was pretty good and it froze and reheated nicely"
"So simple and delicious!! A great recipe for busy week nights. I followed it to a T. I used a mild salsa and mild taco seasoning for the kids' sensitive palate. I spiced mine up with red pepper flakes and it was great! Will make this again and again."
"I used Peach Pineapple salsa and added some onion, green and yellow bell pepper strips and my family raved over it. I also did the suggestion of oven grilling the chicken first so no need to fry anything. It's so a keeper!!!"
"This was good! Only sub was apricot for peach preserves since that's what I had. Always happy to find a new way to dress up chicken and this is def a keeper. Only downside was my two-year old didn't like it...but she's picky & at least she liked the rice I made with it so didn't really have to make a whole other meal ;)"
"I make this using sugar free apricot preserves. Also no oil to saute the chicken, just use a cooking spray in the pan. Really lowers the calories."
"I was very skeptical about the strange combination of ingredients, but thought I would trust those 25 five-star reviews and give it a try. It really is delicious! I also didn't have peach preserves on hand, so I used cranberry sauce, as others suggested. Try this! It's a fast dinner fix, and you probably have everything already in your kitchen!"
"Easy and delicious!"
"this was way to easy for the taste. It was sooooooo good! YUMMY"
"Fantastic! quick, easy and delicious! Will make again and again!"
"This was very good, and great for a quick meal."
"Easy, simple, tasty and I need to make sure to use mild salsa for my kids. I would like to try using cranberry sauce instead of the preserves as other reviewers suggested."
"WOW!!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could. I made it exactly as the recipe states, only I used apricot preserves because I had it in my pantry. Definitely will be making again and again and again."
"This was so tasty and easy to make! My husband made it this time in a flash! A keeper."
"My whole family and friends love this dish. I lower the fat by coating the chicken with the taco mix and baking for half hour til done. No frying. When I'm pressed for time I have sprinkled taco mix on cooked chicken and left in a bag all day. When ready, I just followed the rest of the recipe. Voila, instant dinner. And oh so GOOD."
"My husband and I didn't care for this recipe. It was a little too sweet for our taste. If I ever make it again, I will probably half the amount of preserves the recipe calls for."
"This recipe was a huge hit with my family. I love the contrast in the flavors. Even my 1 yr old son loved it!"
"Made it many times before, loved it, hadn't had it in a while and went on line to be sure of ingredients - having it again this week :)"
"Delicious and so easy, I have made this several times now. Great over rice or noodles..."
"Love this! It's perfect no changes needed."
"WONDERFUL CAN'T REALLY SAY I MADE IT WORD FOR WORD CAUSE I USED PORK AND WOW. ALSO USED CAN OF STEWED TOMATOES AND A COUPLE OF DASHES OF HOT SAUCE WOW. PUT IT ALL IN THE SLOW COOKER AND LET IT GO. WE HAD IT TONIGHT AND WE ALL LOVED IT. NEXT TIME I WILL USE chicken LOL BUT AFTER ALL PORK IS THE OTHER WHITE MEAT!!!!!"
"Great easy recipe. I also tried it with Cranberry sauce instead of the peach preserves and can't imagine it getting any better!!"
"Delicious! This is a family favorite at my house. My 12 yr old requests it often. The sauce alone is great on the rice! And, bonus, it's so EASY to make! I use picante sauce instead of salsa."
"The Sweet n' Spicy chicken was fantastic - my whole family of ten loved it and I will definitely be making it again:)Thank you,Jenna"
"Great flavor, quick and easy for busy moms. Even the picky eaters loved the recipe."
"I found that I should have cooked the chicken in a non-stick skillet. If you like the taste of this, try Tangy Pork chops. It's another easy recipe, but it uses the crock pot."
"Wow! This one's a keeper. So quick and easy to make and tastes great!"
"This is one of the best chicken recipes I have ever tried! This recipe will definately be in the monthly rotation at my house! LOVE IT!"
