Ingredients

  • 2 yellow summer squash, halved lengthwise and cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 medium sweet orange pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Saute squash and orange pepper in butter in a large skillet until
  • crisp-tender. Add remaining ingredients; cook 4-5 minutes longer or
  • until sugar is dissolved and vegetables are tender. Yield: 4
  • servings.
