 Strawberry Vinegar
This recipe a wonderful start to a vinaigrette. It is so easy to infuse the vinegar with the strawberries and it tastes wonderful.—Marilyn Nash, Orange City, Florida

  • Whole strawberries
  • Vinegar
  • Sugar


  • Fill a large jar with rinsed strawberries (do not hull). Cover with
  • vinegar and seal. Refrigerate for 10 days. Strain and measure
  • vinegar; discard berries. For each pint of vinegar, add 3 cups of
  • sugar. Bring mixture to a boil; boil 2 minutes. Cool. Pour into
  • sterile bottles or jars; seal. Yield: 16 tablespoons for each pint
  • made.
