  • 3 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, and chopped
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger root, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 5 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
  • 1/4 cup tequila, 80 proof, optional
  • 3 tablespoons orange liqueur or 1 tablespoon more orange peel
  • Pinch salt, to taste, optional


  • Sort and rinse cranberries, discard soft or decayed berries.
  • In food processor or blender, puree cranberries, chili, onion,
  • ginger, cilantro, lime juice, orange peel, tequila (if desired), and
  • orange liqueur (or extra peel) until finely diced.
  • Season with salt to taste.
