Spiced Carrot Strips Recipe
- 5 large carrots, julienned
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1. Place carrots in a saucepan; cover with water. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Combine the butter, sugar, salt and cinnamon; add to carrots and toss to coat. Yield: 4-6 servings.

"I'd made these spicy carrot sticks before and before I'd moved to my new apt., I'd made them again! I'd peeled the carrots and julienned them. I believe I'd used about 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon and about 1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar, combined together! I think that I'd use about 1/2 tsp. to 3/4 tsp. salt-do a taste test on the amount of salt you wish to use and gradually increase as needed in this recipe! This is what I'd done! I'd cooked the carrots 10 to 20 minutes, until strips are tender! To keep carrots warm, I've kept the lid on the cooking pan! This recipe is delicious! delowenstein"
